Children & Youth

At St. Peter & St Paul we do not regard children as the “congregation of tomorrow” but the “congregation of today”! So our children and young people are very important to us.

On Sunday mornings “Discoverers” meet in the Church hall during the 10:00am service. We use the Living Stones programme which allows the children to follow the same readings and themes followed in the main service but also allows them to have a lot of fun ~ learning through stories, singing drama and craft activities.

The children join us in Church for the last part of the service to tell us what they have been doing ~ singing their songs and showing what they have made.

The first Sunday of the month s an All Age service and Discoverers do not meet. Instead we join together for the 10:00an service and The Discoverers take a major role in the worship through the prayers, singing, reading, welcoming, the collection, the talk and ~ banners and shakers!

For any children or young people who chose to stay in church Sunday mornings there is a “Youth Mag” relating to the theme each Sunday, which they can work through if the main service is inappropriate for them.

We try very hard to cater got everyone!

For young people from 14 – 18 years there is a Christian gathering locally every 3 months with Christian bands and speakers who appeal to that age, They hope that this will soon be monthly.
